“Stuff a Truck” this weekend for the needy

Salvation Army logoThe Salvation Army and volunteers are “Stuffing a Truck” with good used clothing and miscellaneous items.  This year’s collection events are Friday October 23rd from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday October 24th from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Hy-Vee Shopping Center on the Belt Hwy.

They’d like to help increase the resources for individuals in our community AND give opportunity for increasing donations of coats for the November 7, 2015 coat distribution.

The Salvation Army assists individual and families in need with clothing and household items at no cost to those who qualify. In addition, the Family Store upholds the dignity of those who are able to purchase items and this in turn supplements the operation of the shelter, youth programs, summer camp opportunities, nursing home care packages, the food pantry, and more; right here in the St. Joseph community.

Stop by the Hy-Vee Shopping Center: Friday October 23rd or Saturday October 24th and go home feeling you’ve helped someone special.
