A judge this week rejected a call for probation for a 27-year-old St Joseph man convicted of statutory rape.

In a sentencing hearing this week, Judge Patrick Robb ordered Justin Stufflebean to serve a 15-year prison term for continuing sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl last year.

Mr Stufflebean pleaded guilty in August to an amended complaint that included one count of first-degree statutory rape.
