The Benedictine College Raven women’s basketball team earned their record over .500 with a 65-57 win over Bethel (Kan.) College on Tuesday night in the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium on the Benedictine campus.
After shooting 28.9 percent in the first half, the Ravens used a 48.3 percent effort in the second half to extend a two-point halftime lead to a nine-point win.
The Ravens forced Bethel into 26 turnovers with led to 22 points.
Benedictine was paced the by 12 points of forward Erin Murphy (Jr, Olathe) and guard Kesley Anselmi (Jr., Olathe). Guard Kelsey Wolfe (Sr., DeKalb, Mo.) also finished in double figures with 11 points.
Bethel was led by the game-high 14 points of Jessica Muckenthaler who also pulled in a game-high 13 rebounds to finish with a double-double.
Benedictine remains at home for pair of games on Friday and Saturday as they host their annual BC Classic. Benedictine plays the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m. Friday and the closes out the Classic at 3 p.m. Saturday against Kansas Wesleyan University.
