Crews from the St Joseph Fire Department made quick work of a structure fire on St Joe’s north end Wednesday morning. The fire was reported in a vacant house in the 1300 block of North Second Street at 4:46am. The first engine company to arrive at the scene reported heavy fire showing out of the north side of the structure.

Firefighters made an interior search and fire attack, but found no other problems. Crews reported the fire out at about 5:16am. There were no injuries.
