A crash last night east of St Joseph sent an Illinois man to the hospital. The accident happened on US-36 highway, one half mile east of St Joe at 6:30pm Tuesday.

The Missouri State Highway patrol says Herbert Otis of North Chicago abruptly changed lanes on US-36 highway and then hit the brakes. The semi behind him was unable to stop in time and crashed into Mr Otis’es BMW.

Mr Otis was transported to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of what were described as moderate injuries.
