A De Soto, Kansas man was injured on Wednesday when high winds flipped his tractor-trailer onto its side.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 55-year-old Michael Stephens was southbound on US-73 highway near Lancaster, Kansas, when his Freightliner rolled onto the driver’s side due to high wind gusts.  Mr Stephens was transported Atchison Hospital for treatment.

Advisories from the National Weather Service Wednesday predicted wind gusts of over 45 miles per hour.
