ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The St. Joseph Police Department is directing traffic until further notice at Belt and Karnes as crews work to relocate a signal pole.

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced last week its plans to relocate the pole Today. Crews working with MoDOT plan to take the signals at U.S. Route 169 (Belt Highway) and Karnes Road offline and have the signals back to full operation this afternoon.

Until the signals are back on officers from the St. Joseph Police Department will direct motorists through the intersection. Motorists are advised to use extra caution and may encounter delays during this work.
