The K-JO 105.5 Toyland Express is asking for your help to collect toys and money to benefit the Noyes Home for Children and Adopt-A-Family.

“It’s one of my favorite nights of the year, when we take the toys to the Noyes Home and see some of these kids,” said Gregg Lynn with K-JO. “The very first year we did this toy drive there was a 15-year-old and he’d never had a Christmas Tree, he’d never gotten a Christmas present.  The things he wanted were like dress shoes and dress pants and so if we can impact these kids and bring them a happy Christmas I’ll do whatever it takes to do that.”

It’s the 13th year K-JO has held the Toyland Express. This year around 30 kids from the Noyes Home have submitted their Christmas wishes.

“We have a big parade, we take Santa over to the Noyes Home with hundreds of gifts for those kids, then the next day we’ll take van loads of presents down to the AFL-CIO for those kids,” Lynn said.

Toys and donations are still being collected by the K-JO Toyland Express.   If you would like to help he said to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the K-JO studios, 4104 Country Lane by 5 p.m. Friday. Or you can drop off a toy anytime this weekend at Olive Garden Restaurant.
