Fugitive arrest leads to additional charges

A Livingston County man faces additional charges after his arrest Friday on an outstanding warrant.

Sheriff Steve Cox says in a news release that his office received multiple tips, and as a result they were able to arrest Aaron M. Tripp, 28, Chula in Chillicothe. The arrest was on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class C felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Upon serving the warrant, his staff allegedly discovered Mr. Tripp in possession of 3 large throwing knives and another knife which are in violation of Missouri law as he was on school property. Deputy Leadbetter arrested Mr. Tripp for three counts of felony weapon violation and is applying for another arrest warrant.

Mr. Tripp has been transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

Sheriff Cox offered his thanks for all the tips.
