Students at Northwest Missouri State University are graduating Friday in two ceremonies.

Greg Gilpin, a Northwest Missouri State University alumnus and music composer, will address Northwest graduates and their families during its winter commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 18.

For the first time in the history of its winter commencement activities, Northwest will host two ceremonies. Northwest will confer master’s, education specialist and doctoral degrees at 10 a.m. in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts, and undergraduates will be honored at 1 p.m. in Bearcat Arena.

More than 260 students are expected to receive master’s or specialist degrees through the University’s graduate school. More than 330 undergraduate students from Northwest’s three colleges are expected to receive bachelor’s degrees.
No tickets are necessary to attend either ceremony. To accommodate guests who cannot attend, Northwest will offer a live online stream of the ceremonies at www.nwmissouri.edu/live.
