Firefighters responded to downtown St. Joseph Saturday morning to battle a blaze at the new home of Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph’s Northwest Missouri Office.

Crews responded around 9 a.m. to 10th and Penn to find the building heavily involved.

Reports indicated the roof collapsed.

Streets were blocked off at that location while crews were on scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
