Man arrested after attempted robbery at US Oil

SJPD patchThe St. Joseph Police Department has arrested a man after an attempted robbery at U.S. Oil in Midtown Monday.

According to Capt. Jeff Wilson officers responded to a panic alarm around 7:54 a.m. to 601 S. 22nd Street.

A 60-year-old man was arrested in a vehicle on the lot in connection with the case.

“A handgun was located inside of the vehicle he was occupying,” Wilson said. “Detectives are still investigating the details surrounding this incident.”

Charges have not been filed in this investigation.
