Savannah man seriously injured in crash

MSHP purpleA 22-year-old Savannah man was seriously hurt in a single vehicle crash Sunday morning.

An online arrest report filed by the Missouri State Highway patrol shows the driver was arrested on charges of DWI, careless and imprudent driving, and driving without a seat belt.

He was released from custody for hospital treatment.

The crash report says Jackson Girdner lost control of his car along US-71 highway at Savannah at about 5:20am Sunday.  The car left the roadway, hit a guardrail and came to rest in the median.

Mr Girdner was transported to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of what were described at the scene as serious injuries.  He has since been transferred to another facility.
