Public hearings have been set to discuss Missouri-American Water Company’s proposal to increase base rates filed with the Missouri Public Service Commission in 2015.
A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 1 at Missouri Western State University in Leah Spratt Hall, Room 214. A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public beginning at 6 p.m.
On July 31, 2015, the Missouri-American Water Company filed water and sewer rate cases with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual operating revenues by approximately $51 million or 19.63%.
The Missouri-American Water Company serves approximately 471,708 water and sewer customers in Missouri.
