Trial has been delayed again in the case of a babysitter charged with the death of a 10-month-old boy in Nodaway County.

Nicholas “Nikki” Bradshaw was charged with two counts of abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death after the youngster died in December of 2014. A medical examiner called the child’s death a homicide caused by “abusive head trauma.” The class-A felony carries a mandatory 15-year minimum sentence upon conviction.

The infant was treated at Children’s Mercy Hospital where he died two days later.

On Monday, lawyers in the case agreed to reschedule jury selection for November 28, with the trial scheduled to begin the following day.
