The Chillicothe Police Department investigating one case were able to solve another. In an announcement on social media, the department said they were able to broaden their investigation of a theft case Wednesday and make an arrest for an attempted robbery the day before.
As we reported, the Livingston County Sheriff sought citizen input on the residential robbery attempt in the 1500 block of Bryan Street Tuesday afternoon.
Chillicothe police say that on April 13, officers responded to a theft in the 1000 block of Graves Street. While investigating the theft, were able to arrest the two suspects. Officials say 40-year-old Christopher Campbell was arrested on a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery, and 20-year-old William Burfield-Farly was arrested on a charge of attempted robbery. As of Thursday morning no formal charges had been filed in court.
“We want the citizens of Chillicothe to know that the Chillicothe Police Department takes these incidents seriously and act swiftly when a member of our community is put in harm,” the department said in the announcement on Facebook.
“We would like to thank all the citizens of Chillicothe, Wal-Mart Asset Protection, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance during this investigation.”
