ST. JOSEPH – The Missouri Western softball team will make its ninth NCAA Division II Regional appearance since 2005 later this week in Magnolia, Arkansas.

Missouri Western earned the No. 3 seed in the regional and will open with Minnesota-Duluth on Thursday afternoon at No. 2 seed Southern Arkansas. Also in the Southern Arkansas regional is seventh seeded Central Oklahoma. UCO is the only school in the Southern Arkansas regional that Missouri Western has played this season.

On the other half of the regional bracket is No. 1 seed Arkansas Tech, No. 4 Minnesota State, No. 5 Northwest Missouri State and No. 8 Upper Iowa. The winners of each regional will meet May 11 and 12.
