(Missourinet) – Authorities in central Missouri’s Cooper County think the person believed to have kidnapped a girl from Tennessee several days ago might have been seen near Otterville, yesterday.

The child is 9-year-old Carlie Trent, last seen wearing a black and gray tank top and blue jeans. Authorities say she was taken Thursday by 57-year-old Gary L. Simpson, who was last seen wearing a brown cap, a dark shirt, and jeans.

They are believed to be traveling in a white, 2002 Dodge Ram van with a dark stripe down the middle, light gold running boards, and chipping paint on the hood.
