MV-deer crash sends St Joe woman to the hospital

MSHP badge goldA 70-year-old St Joseph woman was injured in a traffic accident involving a deer in Atchison County, Missouri early Thursday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says Charles and Sandra Wink were driving south on I-29 at the 122 mile marker at 1:10 a.m. when their Ford Explorer hit a deer in the roadway.

Sandra Wink suffered what were described as moderate injuries in the crash. She was transported by ambulance to the Hamburg Hospital in Hamburg, Iowa. The driver Charles Wink refused medical treatment at the scene.
