A Craig, Missouri, man is dead after a one vehicle crash in Holt County Saturday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 57-year-old Dayton D. Lawson of Craig was driving south on US 59 in Mound City around 4 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle crossed the center line, went off the east side of the road and up an embankment. Lawson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected through the front passenger window.

Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene by Holt County Coroner Susan Lentz.
