Robert G. Wolfing, Sr., 77, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home.
He was born December 6, 1938 in Elwood, Kansas.
Robert married Janice Marie Adair in 1998.
He was a machine adjuster for Mead Products and owned and operated Bob’s Boat Repair for many years.
He enjoyed working on anything, boating and fishing. His latest hobby was coloring.
He was preceded in death by wife, Janice, first wife, Beverly Ann Newman; parents, Ernest and Genevieve (Bailey) Wolfing; daughters, Micki Jo West and Tamala Jean Wolfing; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Renee Wolfing.
Survivors include daughters, Sammi Puett of St. Joseph, Missouri, Stacy Lynn Curtis (Chuck) of St. Joseph, Missouri, LaCinda Rutherford (John Holder) Sedalia, Missouri, and Crystal Hays (Buddy) St. Joseph, Missouri; sons, Robert Gene Wolfing, Jr. (Gail) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Michael Dale Wolfing (Shirley) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Michael Leo Locke (Rosie) of St. Joseph, Missouri, Rodney Allen Wolfing (Malinda) of St. Joseph, Missouri; Kimberly Scott Wolfing, of St. Joseph, Missouri and David Lee Cox (Lauren) of Mora, Missouri; thirty grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; and former wife, Burnita Gayle Wolfing.

Nancy A. McQuerry, 75, Grandview, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at The Rehabilitation Center of Raymore, Missouri.
She was born July 30, 1940 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Nancy married Robert L. McQuerry in 1973, he preceded her in death in 2007.
She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and taught high school in the Adair, Missouri for close to thirty years.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and reading. Nancy was a member of Raymore Christian Church and Missouri State Teachers Association.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruby (Wiley) Canaday.
Survivors include son, Kevin McQuerry of Grandview, Missouri.

Leroy “Butch” Andrew Kline
1927-2016
Leroy “Butch” Andrew Kline 88, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his home. He was born October 23, 1927 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Elizabeth and Andrew Kline. He married Virginia Mott on April 19, 1950 at. St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and they have shared 66 years together. He served in the Army and is a veteran of the World War II. Then worked at Swift until it closed, and retired from Carnation Pet Food. Butch was a member of St. James Catholic Church, and the American Legion, Wathena, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Andrea Kline Smith, 5 brothers, George, Robert, Charles and William Kline, and Vince Gabriel, two sisters, Marie Bauman, and Lorene Miller. Survivors include wife, Virginia K. Kline of the home, daughter, Lorrie Hunt of St. Joseph, MO, son, Mitchell Andrew (Mary) Kline of Shawnee, KS, two granddaughters, Nichole (Brian) Schmidt, and Rachael (Nathan) Rich, 6 great grandsons, and two sisters, Rose Rohrer, and Betty (Ralph) Tymson of St. Joseph, MO.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2016, at 10:00 am at the St. James Catholic Church, Fr. Christian Malewski Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm, Thursday, at the Rupp Funeral Home where the family will receive friends until 8:00 PM. The Interment will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wathena, KS. with military honors. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
Thomas James “T.J.” Handsome
1945-2016
Thomas James “T.J.” Handsome 71, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday June 15, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. He was born January 23, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri son of the late Jewell & James Wesley Handsome. He retired from the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer in 1987 and is a veteran of the Viet Nam War. T.J was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Marcella of the home, sons Darrin (Dena) Handsome and Tom Hamdsome (Barb Parks) of Jacksonville, FL, daughter, Sheila (Wayne) Wilson of St. Joseph, MO, six grandchildren, Justin, Miranda, Courtney, Preston, Devin, and Taran. He will be cremated under the care and direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. There are no scheduled visitation or memorial services at this time. The inurnment will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL.
Dickie Ray Adkins
1947-2016
Dickie Ray Adkins, was born October 8, 1947, at Leona, Kansas, the son of Franklin and Maude Randall Adkins, and had lived in the Leona-Robinson area nearly all of his life. He died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at his rural Robinson home surrounded by his family. He was 68.
Dick attended schools in the Leona-Highland area and worked to earn his GED. He attended Atchison Vo-Tech and earned a degree as an auto mechanic. He loved working on vehicles, painting houses and barns. He worked on local farms in the Doniphan and Brown counties in his earlier years in life. He later worked for himself painting homes, and barns, along with working on cars. He lived outside Leona for a few years on a farm with family until his Dad passed away. Dick lived at Severance a few years before moving to his home near Robinson in 2001. He loved to be outside staying busy, spending time with family, watching WWE, SCI-FY, and Discovery Channel.
He was married to Mary Bowen Kopp for ten years before the marriage ended in divorce.
Survivors include children: Marilyn (Adkins) Duckett of Axtell, KS, Richard Adkins of Wood River, IL, Donald Ingram, Jr. of Robinson, Ralph (Bonita) Ingram of Indiana, Kandy (Ingram) Manis of Hiawatha; siblings: Betty Myers of Benton, Cleo Stewart of Severance, Alfred Adkins of Hiawatha, Art (Rosalie Adkins of Troy, John (Ive) Adkins of Corpus Christie, TX, Delbert (Sharon) Adkins of Hiawatha, Gertrude Hamilton of Highland, Joyce (Kenny) Moppin of Severance, Danny (Terry) Adkins, also of Severance; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his lifelong companion Christina Ingram in 2013; four brothers: an infant, Jack, Melvin, Sam Adkins; and a sister Erma Pohl.
Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland, with Pastor Tom Carter, of Highland Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, north of Leona.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 12 noon Friday where the family will meet from 6 until 8 that evening.

Rose Marie Miller
1929-2016
Rose Marie Miller, 87, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at her home.
She was born June 12, 1929 in Texhoma, Oklahoma. Rosie graduated from Oregon High School, Oregon, Missouri in 1945.
Her first job was working at the Hotel Robidoux, where she met her future husband Jack Russell Miller. They married March 19, 1948 and he preceded her in death November 9, 1999.
Rosie and Jack purchased the Hoof and Horn Tavern in 1963 and sold it in 1979. In 1980, she began working at Fredrick Inn Steakhouse, retiring in 2015.
She loved family, was a great mom, sister, grandma, and friend. She enjoyed outings with her brothers and family, reading, taking trips and having a nice yard. Rosie was an avid Royals fan. She was a member of Central Christian Church, active in OPALS and her Sunday school class.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Abby (Stull) Worley; brothers, Richard Worley and Sherman Worley; and sister-in-law, Beverly Worley.
Survivors include sons, Gary Miller (Tammy) and Rick Miller (Cheri); daughter, Karen Evans (Jeffrey) all of St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Geana Bush, Todd Miller (Jackie), Tracee Chu (Kuofeng), Derek Harris (Amy), Kimberly Harris (fiancée Damian Whitney), Nicole Miller (Holly) and Trey Miller; twelve great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ronnie Worley (Ruby), Leroy Worley (Irene), and Larry Worley (Jan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Darline Caroline Caw 93, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. She was born November 3, 1922 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of the late Jesse and Guy Tuey. She worked at Missouri Western State University as a Matron in the Maintenance department. She was a very hard working woman who loved her family and centered her time around them. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Darline was preceded in death by husband, LeRoy W. Caw, her parents, three brothers, Lynn, Ralph and Guy Tuey. Survivors include, two sons; Ron (Ida) Caw and Gaylen (Linda) Caw of Saint Joseph, MO, three grandsons: Kevin (Angie) Caw, Travis (Becky) Caw, Aaron (Nikki) Caw, granddaughter, Gentry (Alex) Richardson, great grandson, Ethan Caw, and her sister, Geraldine Harless of St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Sara Butler, Pastor Reith Gewin officiating, The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Mount Auburn Cemetery .
Jane Alice Brown

Jane Alice Brown 92, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Savannah, MO health care center. She was born October 18, 1923 in Albany, MO, daughter of the late Katherine and Birt Shirey. She married Charley on October 14, 1989 and he survives of the home. She worked at Peach Tree, and St. Joe Auto parts, and was a bartender at Hickory Tavern. She was very hard working and enjoyed ironing, cleaning, dancing and bowling, and she was a Christian. Jane was preceded in death by parents, a brother, Birt Shirey, sister, Ola Mae Powell, and 1 great grandchild. Survivors include, husband, Charley Brown of the home, daughters, Linda (John) Ingram of St. Joseph, MO, and Robin Branam of Independence, MO, sons, Junior (Nora) Meeks of St. Joseph, Leroy (Kathy) Stufflebean of Blue Springs, MO, and Gary (Sharon) Stufflebean of Parkville, MO, sister, Delores Kane of North Kansas City, MO, 13 grandchildren,, 30 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Shirley A. Anderson, 82, of Lincoln, passed away June 15, 2016 in Lincoln.
She retired from Quaker Oats Company.
Shirley is survived by sister-in-law, Marlene Colvin; nephew, Loren Colvin; niece, Cindy Payne; and numerous friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Louise (Ozenberger) Colvin; and brother, Edward Colvin.
