A former St. Joseph firefighter will serve prison time for the attempted rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Jeremy Wigchert, 29 was sentenced in court today to serve 14 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Wigchert pleaded guilty to a felony for first-degree attempted rape in May.
As we previously reported, he was accused of using sexually explicit emails to arrange a sexual rendezvous with the victim.
