A St. Joseph man was killed Saturday morning in a one vehicle crash in Saline county.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A, 60-year-old Larry A. Pierce of St. Joseph was traveling east on I-70 near mile marker 79 around 7:20 a.m. when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road. The vehicle then traveled down the embankment, hit a tree and rolled onto its right side.

Pierce was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:04 a.m. by Saline County Deputy Chad McReynolds.
