The St. Joseph Police Department is investigating after a report of shots fired Thursday morning on Dewey Ave.

Sgt. Roy Hoskins said officers responded around 3 a.m. to the 2000 block of Dewey after a resident heard five to 10 shots.

“Shots were fired into the door and several shell casings were located,” Hoskins said. “17 shell casings were collected by officers.”

Nobody was injured.  The investigation continues.
