ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western head men’s basketball coach Brett Weiberg has announced the signing of another student-athlete for the 2016-17 season.

Jonathan Mesmacque will come to St. Joseph from Orleans, France. The 6-foot-3-inch wing played for the Orleans Loiret Basketball Club last season where he averaged seven points and three assists per game. Mesmacque also played on the U15 and U16 French National Teams.

“Jonathan played at a high level this past season against kids that are three and four years older than him,” Weiberg said. “He is a good athlete who plays unselfishly and is a good person. I’m really looking forward to coaching and working with Jonathan.”

Mesmacque’s signing brings the class total to six for the 2016-17 season with two international additions, Mesmacque and Boris Rajovic.
