Police activity caused a stir at Mosaic Life Care Wednesday morning in response to an unfounded phone call.

Capt. Jeff Wilson said an elderly woman believed to have dementia made a false call claiming to be in a linen closet on the second floor of Plaza 2 with an active shooter.  Wilson said that was not at all the case.  The woman was not even at Mosaic at the time she made the call but at a nursing home on Gene Field road.

Police quickly cleared the scene and business has returned to normal.
