An ATV crash in southeastern Kansas claims the life of an 11-year-old boy Thursday morning.

The crash report from the Kansas Highway Patrol says Blake Stapleford of Fall River, Kansas was riding in a field six miles south of U.S. Highway 54 on Road GG in Greenwood County shortly after 11am Thursday.

Investigators say Stapleford turned hard to the right, the vehicle overturned, and landed on top of him. The victim was prounounced dead at the scene of the crash.
