BIG PINEY, Mo. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man who lived near Fort Leonard Wood.

Pulaski County authorities say 61-year-old Keith Bridwell was found shot to death Saturday in his home near Big Piney, on the south side of the fort.

Pulaski County Sheriff Lt. Jimmy Bench says Bridwell was dead less than 24 hours when his body was found.

KYTV-TV reports Bench says a man and woman found the body and called 911. The woman was later charged with burglary and tampering with evidence inside the home.

Bench says the death was an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.
