A Kansas man is in jail after allegedly trying to sell a truck online that had been stolen over a year ago. Officials say the owner of the truck spotted it for sale on the Craigslist Web site and called authorities.

Aaron Joseph Bellinghausen, 33, was arrested this week after officers found a stolen 1977 Ford F-250 at his home in Whiting, Kansas. He’s charged with possession of stolen property. A judge set bail at $10,000.

Investigators say the truck was stolen in Topeka in May of 2015. The owner saw the listing on Craigslist and contacted police. Authorities were able to match an online photo with a residence south of Whiting, but when they arrived the truck was no longer there. They were able to locate it a short distance away at Bellinghausen’s home.

The suspect is being held in the Jackson County Jail.
