It was a tough night Thursday for the Benton and Bishop LeBlond football teams as they each lost home MEC games.

The Cardinals lost to Smithville 29-6 as they fall to 1-3 this season and 0-2 in the MEC.  The Warriors are now 4-0 and 2-0 in league play.

Bishop LeBlond was no match for No. 1 Maryville as they lost 50-3.  The Eagles drop to 3-1 and 1-1 in the MEC, while the Spoofhounds are now 4-0 and 2-0 in the MEC.

Both teams are back at home next week as Benton plays host to Savannah and Bishop LeBlond entertains Chillicothe.
