St. Joseph police are warning you to avoid the south junction of I-29 and I-229 because of an injury accident.
A semi jackknifed into a car at the 42.4 mile marker of southbound I-29 shortly after 4:30 am.
Police say traffic will be impacted “for an undetermined amount of time” according to a Nixle alert.
Witnesses say one lane of traffic is getting through, but officers on the scene worry that morning rush-hour traffic will be slowed down by the crash.
At least one person was transported to the hospital.
