Betty Jean Walker, 65, St. Joseph, MO went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, October 14, 2016 at LaVerna Village, Saint Joseph, MO. She was born April 13, 1951 in Albany, MO, daughter of Anna and Clarence Burton. She graduated from Albany High School and attended Platt Gard Business College. She was a homemaker, and a teacher’s aid at South Park Christian Academy for 13 years. Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a member of Hillcrest Bible Church. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Donald, Jimmy, Robert, and Wesley Burton, and a sister, Gladys Lininger. Survivors include, husband, Rev. Charles A. Walker, Jr, of the home, son, Jonathan Walker, daughters, Melody Vallejo, Jenny Trueblood, and Charity Walker, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brothers, Marion, Harold, and Charles Burton, and sisters, Barbara King, Elizabeth Butterfield, Louise Moad, and Sharon Dahl.
Funeral Services; 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Faith Valley Church of God, Pastor Mark Smith and Rev. Thomas Frisby officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Wednesday at the church. Interment; Bethel Cemetery, DeKalb, MO. Ashley Nicole Ann Roberts
1995-2016
Ashley Nicole Ann Roberts 21, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday October 14, 2016 at a hospital in Saint Joseph. She was born July 19, 1995 in St. Joseph, Missouri daughter of Rebecca & Gregory Roberts Sr. She worked for Meril. She loved her children and enjoyed listening to music. Ashley was preceded in death by her father, Gregory David Roberts Sr, and a brother, Greg Roberts Jr. She is survived by her mother, Rebecca Roberts of the home, 3 children, Noah, Kaden and Paisley Dilley, half brother, Ricky Wardenburg, St. Joseph, MO, paternal grandmother, Sherill Roberts of St. Joseph, MO, paternal grandfather, Harold Dawson of St. Joseph, MO, fiance, David Dilley, Jr of St. Joseph, MO, several, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and close friends will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Allan Dotson
1963-2016
Allan Dotson, 53, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at his residence.
Allan was born February 3, 1962 in St. Joseph to Edward and Betty (Wilson) Dotson.
In 1979, he married June Carter, they later divorced and she preceded him in death. On June 9, 1983 he married Dawn “Beth” Patterson in St. Joseph who survives him of the home.
He is also preceded in death by his parents; son Jay Dotson; brother, Lloyd Dotson; granddaughter, Clayton.
Survivors include his wife Beth; children, Steve, Brook (Jimmy) Lanham, and Ali Jo (RC Ziolkowski) Dotson and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Clark-Sampson Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mr. Dotson will be cremated following visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Barbara K. (Drake) Hitchler, 52, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016.
She was born June 5, 1964 in St. Joseph Missouri.
Barbara married Eddy Hitchler, May 19, 2007.
She worked as a Manager for KCI Marriott Hotel Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Ermalea (Bruns) Drake; brother, Joseph Drake, and grandparents.
Survivors include husband, Eddy; children, Bobby and Rachel Knowles; siblings, Dr. Warren Drake, Jr., Marilyn Hux and Nancy Martin; grandchildren, Jaylen, Lliam, Aidan, Kavender and Alaina; and dog, Skeeter.

Rosemarie Locke, 54, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born July 30, 1962 in St. Joseph, Missouri
Rosemarie married Michael Locke on March 22, 1986.
She worked as a housekeeper at Heartland Health.
Rosemarie enjoyed hunting mushrooms and loved cooking for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Geraldine (Culver) Meng; son, Michael Locke; sister, Patty Perry; and brother Kenneth Frans.
Survivors include husband, Michael; daughter Christina Meng, St. Joseph; son, Colton Locke, St. Joseph; grandson, Zaden Shepard; and brother Danny Frans; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Louise VanDyke
1943-2016
Mary L. Van Dyke, 73, Atchison, Kansas died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her home after living nearly two years with ovarian cancer.
Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a. m. at St. Benedict’s Church with Rev. Jeremy Heppler, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 6:00 p. m. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:00 p. m. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict’s Catholic School Endowment; Maur Hill-Mount Academy School or Benedictine College and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Mary Louise Cochran was born on October 5, 1943, the fourth child of William and Lillian Cochran.
She obtained two masters degrees, the first in educational psychology and research and the second in computer studies. Mary wrote various grants, including Apple Computer grants which led to her becoming a beta tester for the company; the Casting the Nets grant which connected at-risk girls and individuals from Happy Hearts and the Shepherd Center with her students to learn about computers; and The Road Ahead grant which funded technology conferences at schools. Mary was an educator for years, teaching elementary students at Atchison Catholic schools and gifted and talented students both in Atchison and Lawrence, Kansas school districts.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She traveled to 19 countries, and in the last several months of her life she experienced an NBA game in Oklahoma, Chris Botti concerts in Manhattan, Kansas and Red Rocks in Colorado, and Royals games in Minneapolis. She lived a good life and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by John Van Dyke, Sr., her husband of 56 years. Other survivors include her children: John Van Dyke, Jr., Tim Van Dyke (Joanie Frakes), both of Atchison, KS; David Van Dyke (Valerie) and Mary Beth McClintock (Brent), both of Kansas City, MO; Sara Van Dyke of New York City, NY and Andrea Verbanic (Michael), of Eudora, KS, her mother Lillian Cochran, Atchison, KS, and her grandchildren Audrey, Curtis, Joyce and Glen McClintock, and Ryan, Joseph and Thomas Verbanic.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Glen Cochran.
