Richard K. Vanderpool, 68, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016.
He was born April 23, 1948 in Braymer, Missouri.
Richard married Jilla Kay Schottel on November 12, 1971, she survives of the home.
He enjoyed taking trips with his wife and his sister-in-laws. He also had a love for Aerosmith and his favorite TV show was The Big Bang Theory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Verna; brother, Roger Vanderpool; sister, Betty Ziekle
Additional survivors include; children, Jamie, Kevin and Stacey Vanderpool; grandchildren, Shala, Hannah, Austin and Skylar; great-grandchild, Braylea; sister, Reba Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment at a later date at Thornton Cemetery, Clarksdale, Missouri. David Lee Fetty
1934-2016
David Lee Fetty, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, November 25, 2016.
He was born October 20, 1934 to Paul and Alice (Parish) Fetty, they proceed him in death.
Dave retired form Midland Steel and started M&D Welding and has ornamental iron work all over St. Joseph and the surrounding areas.
He loved football and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. During the 80’s he was the owner/manager of Crown Softball team. He was also an avid collector.
Also preceded in death by wife, Joann Ellis Fetty; daughter, Jackie Burchett; son, Terry Fetty.
Survivors include son, Timmy Fetty (Susan); sisters, Dixie Furr (Don), Dianne Sipes, and Debbie Bravo (Bill); six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; significant other of thirty-three years, Mary Browning.
Farewell Services 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Curtis A Grimm
1940-2016
Curtis A. Grimm, 76, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at his home peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 31, 1940 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Pearl and Paul Grimm. He graduated from Bremerton High School, Washington State and Missouri Western State College with a B.A. in History, and a B.S. in Political Science. On June 6, 1964 he married Charlene Kizior at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and they have shared 52 years of marriage together. He served in the United States Army in a high security position with NSA that involved communication with President Kennedy. He worked at the United States Postal Service retiring as a Clerk after 28 years of service. He also worked with his son, Rob at Grimm Chiropractic as the office manager for 24 years. Curtis was involved in many of both his son’s activities such as coaching little league baseball, and was he founding director and organizer of St. Joseph’s Bantam football league, which they started the rental program for the football equipment. He was a lifelong member of the PTA. During his working career he was a member of the A.P.W.U. Union also serving as the associations President, and state Vice President, receiving over 30 awards. He was a member of the Missouri Western Alumni Association. He was one of the founding members of the New Life Cathedral Church in St. Joseph, MO. He was an Avid Coin collector. Curtis was best known for playing Santa Claus with his wife Charlene as Mrs. Claus for the past 52 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Richard Wyrick, and Frank E Grimm, Jr., and three sisters, Winnie, Carol, and Thelma. Survivors include, his loving wife Charlene Grimm of the home, two sons, Dr. Rob Grimm and wife Tracy of St. Joseph, MO, and David Grimm and wife Alyse of Saint Joseph, MO, four grandchildren: Chris Grimm, Allie Grimm, Bailey Cordonnier, and Kayla Cordonnier, a sister, Nancy Biechler and husband Don.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Keys Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Robert Flach officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home, the Interment will be at the Mount Auburn Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Noyes Home for Children. Linda S Gill
1955-2016
Linda S. Gill, 61 years, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at her home. She was born October 22, 1955 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of the late Lotus and Wallace Bozarth. She attended Benton High School, and she worked at Weiser Dry Cleaners for 21 years. She married Bill Gill on October 9, 1981, and he survives of the home. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren: Michael Bozarth and Steven Hall. Survivors include, husband, Bill of home, four children: Jeannette (Randy) Ellis, Billie Sue Cannon (companion Robert), Jack D. Bozarth (companion Kari), and Brandy Hall (companion Michael), five siblings, Wallace E (Teresa) Bozarth, Vickie (Danny) Nichols, Pam (Louis) Burley, Terry (Glenn) McGlothlin, and Penny (Terry) Ramseym, 8 grandchildren: Justin Bozarth, Charlie Ellis, Dewey Steven, Nicolas Ellis, Miranda Hall, Kayley Morse, Bailey Morse, and Riley Justice, 6 great grand children, and several nieces & nephews. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff with the Ellis Fischell Care Cancer Center of Columbia, MO, the Mosaic Life Care Hospital, Mosaic Life Home Health, and the Three Rivers Hospice for their kind care to our mother. We would also like to thank Taco Johns for their generosity.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Rupp Chapel, Rev. Beau Walker officiating.
