Water service in Troy, Kansas was disrupted Sunday morning as that town woke up to a blanket of new snow and ice.

In a text alert at 6:58am, Doniphan County officials announced a water main break in Troy, and said a city crew was working on the problem.

It was unknown when water service would be back on, according to the alert.

The City of Troy announced a boil order for water customers.
