Two people charged with robbing a cell-phone store on the South Belt Jan. 17 appeared in court Friday.

Shania Harness and Isaiah Williams are each charged with a class-A felony count of robbery in the first degree. In court documents, police say the pair entered the Metro PCS store at 3202 S. Belt Tuesday evening, pointed guns at customers and employees, and demanded money. They then fled.

An employee was able to get a description of their vehicle, which was located near Frederick and Leonard Road. The suspects were arrested and later identified by one of the people present during the robbery, according to a court affidavit.

Associate Judge Rebecca Spencer scheduled a preliminary hearing February 2 for Harness. Williams is scheduled for a hearing February 7. Both are being held in the Buchanan County Jail, unable to post $50,000 bail. The defendants were expected to apply for representation from a Public Defender.
