MARYVILLE, Mo. – Northwest Missouri State University junior Justin Pitts has been named the 2016-17 Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) Central Region Player of the Year. He was also named to the All-Central Region first team for the second straight year. Pitts is now eligible for D2CCA All-America honors which will be voted upon later this season.
The two time MIAA Player of the Year is now the all time leading scorer in program history with 1,825 points in 92 career games (19.8 ppg). This year, he is averaging a team-best 20.3 points and 5.2 assists per game. He has scored in double figures in 30-of-32 games this season and all 29 contests against Divsion II opponents.
