A woman appeared in court Friday charged with burglary based on DNA testing of blood found at the crime scene.
Linda Sue Pennell is already serving prison time in Chillicothe for her conviction on stealing charges two years ago. On Friday, the 34-year-old Gallatin woman appeared in Buchanan County court.
Pennel is charged in connection with a home burglary in the 3000 block of Olive Street in St. Joseph in August of 2014. A window and back door were forced open.
St. Joseph Police said in court documents that they found blood inside the house, and a DNA test showed a match with the defendant.
Associate Circuit Judge Rebecca Spencer scheduled a preliminary hearing April 11. Pennell will apply for a public defender
