A 33-year-old Climax Springs man appeared in court Friday on charges stemming from the alleged sexual abuse of a teenager. Police say Joseph Sousley initially would not disclose his whereabouts. It now appears he’s been living in a camper.

After Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kate Schaefer requested a change of judge in the case, the initial court appearance was held before Associate Judge Rebecca Spencer.

Judge Spencer scheduled a preliminary hearing April 20 on one count of first-degree sodomy. Sousley is free on $20,000 bond.
