Two injured in one vehicle crash

MSHP badge goldTwo Maryville residents were injured, one seriously, in a crash Sunday afternoon near Quitman.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40-year-old James D. Gabbert was driving a 1984 GMC pickup south on Eagle Road about three miles east of Quitman around 5 p.m. Sunday. At the intersection of 240th Street, the vehicle traveled off the road, hit a ditch and came to rest in a field.

A passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Meghann P. Parshall of Maryville was taken to SSM-St. Francis Hospital in Maryville for treatment of serious injuries. Gabbert was also transported to the hospital in Maryville for treatment of moderate injuries.

According to the crash report, neither was wearing a seatbelt.
