Dan Edwin Parker Jr.
1949-2017
Dan Edwin Parker Jr. 68, of De Kalb, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. He was born January 30, 1949 in St. Joseph, MO. He attended DeKalb High School and then served in the Marines and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Seitz meatpacking, Peach Tree Door as a Dye setter, and at RSP recycling. He was a good mechanic, and enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, traveling to Sturgis, and working on motorcycles. When he was younger he enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and the outdoors. He was a Christian. Daniel was preceded in death by father, Daniel Edwin Parker Sr., mother, Helen King, and sister Jane Parker. Survivors include, sisters, Rufena (Larry) Burton, Sally (David) Roberts, brother, Jeff Parker, all of St. Joseph, MO, companion, Leah Grinstead, best friend, Collene Paden of St. Joseph, MO, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Rupp Funeral Home, Rev. Pat Sampson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Bethel Cemetery with Military honors under the auspices of the United States Marines. Memorials are requested to the Friends of the Shelter or DAV – Disabled Veterans.
Ronald L. Spence
1947-2017
Ronald L. Spence, 69, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his home.
He was born October 20, 1947 in Amarillo, Texas to Marvin and Erma (Chapman) Spence.
Ronald married Barbara L. Grace July 27, 1974, she survives of the home.
He was a police officer in Windsor, Missouri for two years, then later in Higginsville, Missouri, before retiring due to illness.
Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a big baseball fan. He belonged to bowling and pool leagues. Ron made model airplanes and donated them to the National War Museum. The highlight of his retirement was a mission trip to the Navajo Indian Reservation in Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Additional survivors include son, Derek Spence (Brandy); daughter, Kara Spence (Jeremy); son, Jarod Spence; grandchildren, Troy and Jax; brother, Lewis Hendren (Penny).

Harry H Cornelius, Jr.
1924-2017
Harry H Cornelius,Jr., 93, Easton, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born January 2, 1924 to Harry Sr. and Mona (Lehmkuhl) Cornelius in San Antonio, Missouri.
Harry enjoyed working as a dairy farmer. He also enjoyed his horses, buggies, and sleighs
Mr. Cornelius was a deacon and choir member of Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. He served as president of the Platte Valley School Board and chaired his Mid-America Dairymen District.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brad Cornelius; and granddaughter, Mindy Cornelius.
Survivors include wife of 69 years, Helen Cornelius of the home; daughter, Janice Howerton (Phil), Chilhowee, Missouri; and sons, Dallas Cornelius (Debby), Easton, Missouri and Cary Cornelius (Sharon), Easton, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Farewell Services 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. Private interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Anita “Darlene” Greub
1930-2017
Wathena, Kansas Anita “Darlene” Greub, 86, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Wathena Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Darlene was born on September 29, 1930 in Easton, Missouri to Nathan & Edna (Roberts) Morris.
She graduated from Bendena High School & was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Altar Society, VFW Auxiliary & the Cordonettes. She was a housewife, worked for DCEC as a Para & cooked for Heartland Healthcare.
Darlene married Clement Greub Sr. on July 8, 1950 in Wathena, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents & 2 sisters, Delores England & Dorrene Mitchell.
Survivors: daughters, Mary K. Simpson (Gary) of Troy, Kansas Barbara J. Wilson (Terry) of Lawrence, Kansas Theresa M. McKnight (Rick) of St. Joseph, Missouri Denise R.
