Temps in the 60s and 70s through the weekend

Below normal temperatures will continue today with isolated showers possible east of the greater Kansas City area. High pressure will build in overnight which will yield warmer and drier conditions on Thursday. Rain chances will return both Friday and Saturday with drier weather anticipated for the latter half of the upcoming weekend. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 64. North wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. North northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 76. Light south southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Southeast wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Memorial Day: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
