Andy Clements has officially been named as the City of St. Joseph’s Public Works and Transportation Director after serving as interim.

According to a news release, City Manager Bruce Wood named Clements to the position Monday.

Clements is a graduate of Missouri Western State University and has been an employee of the city of St. Joseph since 1995. His career with the city has been entirely within the public works department, first as a transportation planner, then as transportation operations manager. Andy was promoted to assistant director for the department in August 2000, and has served as interim director on two occasions.

Clements salary will be $107,000 annually and his duties as director take effectimmediately.
