Three injured in St. Joseph I-29 rollover

Three people were injured early Tuesday morning in a rollover crash on I-29 in St. Joseph.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jaeke Payne, 24 of Nebraska was driving a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on the highway around 4:15 a.m. when the vehicle started to skid and went off the west side of the road. The vehicle rolled over multiple times and Payne and a passenger, Zachary Chollar, 22 also of Nebraska were ejected from the vehicle. Neither Payne nor Chollar were reported to be wearing their seat belts. They were both taken by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of what was described as serious injuries. Another passenger, Riley Sutton, 17 of Iowa was also transported to Mosaic for treatment of a moderate injury. He was reported to be wearing a seat belt.
