Woman killed in DeKalb County crash

A Maysville woman was killed Monday morning in a crash just northwest of Cameron.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Marsh Fairbanks, 49 was driving a 2001 BMW southbound on RT C in DeKalb County around 6:30 and met a 2000 Ford Explorer coming northbound driven by April Benedict, 31 of Cameron. Fairbanks’ vehicle cross the center line and hit Benedict’s vehicle in the northbound lane. Fairbanks was pronounced dead at the scene. She was reported to be wearing a seat belt. Benedict was transported to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of what was described as a serious injury. It’s unknown if she was wearing a seat belt.
