
Traffic was slowed Tuesday morning after a straight truck overturned on I-29 about three miles south of Mound City, blocking both lanes of northbound traffic.
According to the Missouri State Highway patrol, around 10:30 a.m., the truck had tire failure, traveled off the road, skidded back onto the road and overturned onto the passenger side.
The driver, 43-year-old Ted W. Griffiths of Louisiana was transported from the scene by Atchison-Holt EMS then flown to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment of serious injuries.

(12:16 p.m. Tuesday) Crews are working a two vehicle crash on I-29 just south of Mound City.
Shortly before noon Tuesday traffic was slowed for a straight truck that overturned about two miles south of Mound City. Sgt. Jake Angle with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said two vehicles were involved in the crash. He said there were injuries but the extent of them are not yet known. Crews were on scene around 12:10 p.m.
