A St. Joseph man pleaded guilty to a felony of second-degree rape Wednesday in Buchanan County.

As we previously reported, Vernail Moore Sr. was charged in January after prosecutors said he entered his neighbor’s home “unannounced and uninvited” and raped the victim.  Judge Patrick Robb set a sentencing hearing for September 25.

Moore remains behind bars in the Buchanan County Jail on $50,000 bail.
