Friday will start off muggy with some spotty rain showers over the area, mainly south of the Missouri River. These showers will start to dissipate and move south by late morning leading to a partly cloudy afternoon with highs in the lower 80s. This nice weather will continue into Saturday with partly clouds skies and unseasonably cooler lower 80s in place over the region. Some unsettled weather will start to move into the area Sunday from the southwest creating the chance of scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon, mainly from the KC Metro and south. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:
