The St. Joseph Police Department is investigating the death of an infant.

According to Capt. Jeff Wilson, police are investigating the death of an infant related to a missing person alert issued Monday morning.

Around 8:56 a.m. Monday police issued an alert searching for missing Doris Koon and an infant child. Around 10:37 a.m. officers canceled the alert.

Wilson said little information into the case is being released at this point.
