(Update) – The St. Joseph Fire Department responded to a working structure fire near downtown St. Joseph Thursday afternoon.

According to an alert issued around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, drivers were being asked to avoid the area of N 10th and Lincoln streets due to the fire. Multiple fire crews were on scene. Reports indicate the structure was fully engulfed.

The road has since reopened.
