A 35-year-old man was injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi Monday evening in Livingston County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Christopher Brannam of Dawn was driving a 2008 Mercury Mariner eastbound on US-36 and William Schreiner, 64 of Chillicothe was driving a 2005 Freightliner southbound crossing US-36 from Liv-259. The two crashed around 7:38 p.m. just three miles east of Chillicothe. The Patrol said Brannam attempted to avoid the semi, but his vehicle was hit in the left rear and went of the east side of Liv-259, down an embankment and hit a ditch. Brannam was taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of what was described as a moderate injury. He was not reported to be wearing a seat belt. No injuries for Schreiner were reported. He was reported to be wearing a seat belt.
